Heartburn or GERD can Kill

Heartburn is a common annoyance. The busy lifestyle, quick meals, fatty or spicy foods all contribute to the occasional need of a chewable pain reliever. The acceptance of heartburn as an inconvenient, but natural, part of the daily grind can blind you to the warning that a severe heartburn symptom can bring.

Heartburn as a Disorder

Heartburn can be a symptom as well as a disorder. Simple heartburn or GERD can be controlled and dealt with. However, heartburn can signal the presence of a much more serious problem. If it’s heartburn, you will have a burning sensation in the chest usually after eating. There may be a spread of the burning to the throat, sometimes accompanied by a bad taste, difficulty in swallowing, belching, coughing, hoarseness and/or wheezing.

It can become worse by lying down or bending over or by eating. Relief can come from an antacid. While the more severe heartburn symptoms may be mistaken for a heart attack, simple heartburn is usually not made worse by exercise. If there is any concern that the pain may signal a heart attack, get help quickly.

Precautions And Solutions For Razor Burns

By Darek Smith

When it comes to shaving with a razor there are things guys and girls alike need to keep in mind so that razor burns are avoided. Even though there are many advanced razors out there for instance by Gillettes Mach 3, there still is a chance that razor burns might be caused by shaving.

There are many ways to treat these razor burns at home and on your own without having to consult a physician or a dermatologist. Razor burns are usually caused by a dull razor, coarse hair or even are a result of sensitive skin.

Regarding treating razor burns there are numerous ways you can do so at home and on your own. First off a great way to minimize uncomfortable and sometimes painful razor burns is to shave right after a warm and soapy shower because your skin will be softer. If you are shaving your beard then you wash your beard with warm water and soap before the shave.

If however this doesnt work you can always apply the home remedy of using apple cider vinegar on the burning areas of your skin. Another way of getting the pain to subside is with good old plain aspirin. The way to do that is by mixing one or two aspirins with some water and then apply the past onto the affected area.

Leave the paste on your skin and then just wash it off with some warm water. The burning sensation will be completely eliminated this way. I find this remedy the most effective if you are looking for a fast solution.

If on the other hand you are trying to avoid taking any kind of medication you can use a natural solution that involves creating a facial mask using two strawberries and some sour cream. It might make a great fruit snack but it will help you get rid of the discomfort resulting from your burns. The way to make the mask is by mixing strawberries and cream into a fine paste and then apply it on your skin.

As you can see there are many ways to get rid of razor burns. The best way is to prevent them from happening in the first place. It is advised that you invest in a high end razor like a Gillette Mach 3 to avoid getting rashes and burns altogether.
