Heartburn or GERD can Kill

Heartburn is a common annoyance. The busy lifestyle, quick meals, fatty or spicy foods all contribute to the occasional need of a chewable pain reliever. The acceptance of heartburn as an inconvenient, but natural, part of the daily grind can blind you to the warning that a severe heartburn symptom can bring.

Heartburn as a Disorder

Heartburn can be a symptom as well as a disorder. Simple heartburn or GERD can be controlled and dealt with. However, heartburn can signal the presence of a much more serious problem. If it’s heartburn, you will have a burning sensation in the chest usually after eating. There may be a spread of the burning to the throat, sometimes accompanied by a bad taste, difficulty in swallowing, belching, coughing, hoarseness and/or wheezing.

It can become worse by lying down or bending over or by eating. Relief can come from an antacid. While the more severe heartburn symptoms may be mistaken for a heart attack, simple heartburn is usually not made worse by exercise. If there is any concern that the pain may signal a heart attack, get help quickly.

What's The Master Cleanse Diet All About

By Chris Maker

Are you amazed at how Beyonce was able to lose whopping 20 pounds just mere days before she had to start filming Dreamgirls? Are you curious as to how Jared Leto was able to reclaim his hot body after he had put on 62 pounds to play his role in Mark David Chapman? No, it does not involve chefs making you salads 3 times a day nor does it include hiring a gym trainer.

I am pretty sure that you know something about the master cleanse diet. If you have not tried it, then probably you are intrigued by it. The master cleanse diet is originally a cleansing diet that was designed by alternative medicine practitioner Stanley Burroughs during the 1940s. Although this diet was created to be a detox diet but now it is more popular for its reducing properties.

The diet is done by consuming nothing within the diet period but the specially made lemonade. The recipe for making this lemonade is fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. None of these ingredients can be substituted if you want the diet to take a full effect on you.

Before you go all out on the lemonade, you will have to go through an ease in period first.

An ease-in period is the time before you start the diet wherein you condition your body and your mind for what is to happen. For the master cleanse diet, you will need to alter your food intake to accommodate lighter meals as a preparation for when you can only drink nothing but the lemonade.

Once you are through with the ease in period only then can you start with your diet. You can diet for an average of 10 days but you may also cut it short to 7 days and even extend it 12 days.

However, a few may only be able to diet for a period of 7 days. As long as you follow the instructions meticulously it wont be a problem. Drink the lemonade anytime you need to or want to.

Last but never at all the least, you will have to take laxatives the entire time that you are on the master cleanse diet. You will need the laxatives since you will not have any access to fiber the entire time and that can give you problems when it comes to your daily bathroom routine.

The laxatives are there to solve that teensy problem for you.
