Heartburn or GERD can Kill

Heartburn is a common annoyance. The busy lifestyle, quick meals, fatty or spicy foods all contribute to the occasional need of a chewable pain reliever. The acceptance of heartburn as an inconvenient, but natural, part of the daily grind can blind you to the warning that a severe heartburn symptom can bring.

Heartburn as a Disorder

Heartburn can be a symptom as well as a disorder. Simple heartburn or GERD can be controlled and dealt with. However, heartburn can signal the presence of a much more serious problem. If it’s heartburn, you will have a burning sensation in the chest usually after eating. There may be a spread of the burning to the throat, sometimes accompanied by a bad taste, difficulty in swallowing, belching, coughing, hoarseness and/or wheezing.

It can become worse by lying down or bending over or by eating. Relief can come from an antacid. While the more severe heartburn symptoms may be mistaken for a heart attack, simple heartburn is usually not made worse by exercise. If there is any concern that the pain may signal a heart attack, get help quickly.

Why Is Detox Important

By Jasmine Endive

Detoxification is a word that is used more often lately. More and more people look for ways to enjoy the benefits of detox in ways that allow them to be and feel healthy by getting rid of all kinds of unwanted toxins.

One of the most popular methods of detox is called colon cleansing and even if this method doesnt sound that pleasing it is one of the more effective ones around. Those who understand how detoxification works understand that the whole process of detoxification is based on the idea that every now and then your body needs to get rid of all the remnants of bad things that stay in.

Body detoxification is pretty much the process of cleansing ones digestive system of all the food remnants that get trapped over the years. The process is usually done be the consuming a liquid that clears intestines and organs. It is not a surgical procedure and on the contrary it doesnt involve any specific medical procedure. The process has to do with drinking a fluid and then going to the bathroom.

It is important to occasionally flush out our digestive system because that is where all the toxins end up in. If your digestive system doesnt work properly then it will definitely take a toll on your health in many other ways. In order for someone to be in a good healthy state the digestive system must be cleansed and thats why detox is essential.

It doesnt matter if you are eating healthy and if you are consuming healthy food like organic meats and produce. These foods still have toxins and think of the pollution, drinks and the toxins contained in pretty much everything these days. Even in the case that you are healthy, a non drinker and a non smoker you still have toxins in your body. These toxins linger in the body and find their way to the digestive system - a vital system that you need to maintain good health.

The digestive system is comprised of many organs including ones liver, pancreas, kidneys, stomach and intestines. The food and drink we consume ends up in different parts of the body where its ingredients are broken down in different organs. It is not therefore effective to just cleanse one organ but the best way is to go on a detoxification process to clean everything all at once.
